On January 21, Teresa was the keynote speaker for the THE DREAM@50 Art Contest awards ceremony. The event was a celebration of those who participated in the art contest that honored Martin Luther King’s famous “I Have A Dream” speech. With over 5,000 people in attendance and numerous entrees and awards, the night was a fitting tribute for such an important moment.
Teresa spoke on the importance of the “I Have A Dream” speech, the speech’s relevance to our lives today and ways our next generation can contribute to Dr. King’s legacy.
The event was hosted by the Northern California Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Foundation. The Foundation is dedicated to extending Dr. King’s vision by helping people connect to community and to service through initiatives throughout Northern California.
